Protest March for Hands off The Conquest 20th September 2006
They say a picture paints a thousand words, in which case we have several thousand words for you. The march in support of Hands Off The Conquest received support beyond our most optomistic forecasts, with the number of marchers believed to be in excess of 7,000 people. From what we have been told, this is both (a) the best attended protest in support of the NHS anywhere in the country, and (b) the largest protest march Hastings has ever seen including the anti-community charge (aka poll tax) demonstrations.
